Pregnancy Massage

Aromatherapy oils tailored for you, expert advice and some pampering time connecting mother and child

Pregnancy Massage

During this very special time in a woman’s life, massage is an excellent way to help alleviate the common symptoms of pregnancy and provides support for physical and emotional strains of pregnancy. This treatment is different from regular massage as the mother is positioned in a side lying position, with extra pillows and bolsters for support. This ensures maximum comfort and safety for mother and baby. This treatment creates some mother’s own pampering time and encourages connecting with the baby.

You can choose from 3 lengths of treatments to suit your needs:

60 minutes – Back, neck and shoulders

75 minutes – Full body massage

90 minutes – Full body massage, including face rejuvenation.

Massage in pregnancy is performed in a side lying position where bolsters and pillows are provided for support.

Pregnancy massage is a very gentle treatment, which helps to highlight areas of tension in the body that in turn helps the mother to know which areas to concentrate on and relax during labour. It also helps prepare the body for childbirth by helping loosen the pelvis and rid the body of excess tension prior to the onset of labour.

During the third trimester of my pregnancy I had regular pregnancy massages with Stephanie. The treatments were specifically tailored to my needs and they not only helped alleviate many of the troublesome symptoms of pregnancy such as feet swelling and lower back pain, but also were uplifting and relaxing. I would thoroughly recommend it for any pregnant lady and my only regret was not going sooner in my pregnancy.
