Well Woman Yoga is a deeply nourishing practice which is about reconnecting with the deep wisdom of the womb cycles throughout the whole of a woman’s life, from pre-menarche to post-menopause. This integrated and harmonious approach to hatha yoga is especially developed to bring comfort and joy to woman. Suitable to all woman with or without previous experience of yoga.
Modern day living is fast-paced; we are always doing, achieving, and pushing ourselves to be bigger and better. For a woman’s body this is incredibly stressful and creates various imbalances which affects our sleep, weight, digestion, libido, menstrual cycle, ability to cope, to get pregnant, and menopause.
Even though it’s predominantly women who practice yoga today, the style commonly taught was developed by men, for men, many millennia ago. Well Woman Yoga incorporates the ancient techniques, but with a modern day approach that specifically works towards women’s wellness. These practices take into account the stress of our modern lives, as well as the hormonal and anatomical differences specific to women in order to promote mental and physical balance and a feeling of calm vitality. What to expect
These Well Woman Yoga sessions are blended with restorative yoga, pranayama and yoga nidra to nourish and leave you feeling revitalised. The techniques shared nurture and build the feminine energy for the practical healing and benefit of woman in all stages of life.
These 6 week blocks are taught in term time and cost £60.
The classes are taught in the light and airy space that is the Unitarian Meeting House. Spaces are limited. Your place is confirmed on the 6 week course one payment has been received.Book
